| CRAFT COMPETITION |

A team of 6 Cubs from 1ST Tarporley Portal Pack (Benjamin Cuffin-Munday, Robert Brunt, Tom Weckerle, Luke Jennings, Daryl McLaughlin and Robbie Wood) recently entered the Chester District Craft competition. The boys were given 3 tasks to complete using the theme of space. For the fourth year running the team were triumphant and were presented with a trophy to keep for the year.
The victory earned the boys the honour of representing the District at the County Final. This was held at Barnton Memorial Hall, Northwich on Saturday 6th March. The boys were this time given the theme of "The World" and were asked to create a model showing what the world represented for them. The boys made a model which depicted the 4 corners of the world, a dessert area, the Arctic, a jungle and the sea. The team worked well together and their efforts earned them runners up spot, finishing one point behind the winners. Well done to all the boys involved.

| KWIK CRICKET COMPETITION |

Portal Pack recently entered a team of 8 boys: Richard Munson, Tom
Weckerle, Ben Tyler, Robert Hartwell, Dan Ephraim, Mike Ridge, Oliver Smith and Jack Hutchison in the Chester District Kwik Cricket Competition held at Mickle Trafford Scout Headquarters.
Despite torrential rain both before and during the event the four Cub Packs involved (Tarporley, Guilden Sutton, Mickle Trafford and Farndon) managed to play a round robin of games. The Tarporley team won each of their three games with each team member contributing to the success as all boys were required to bat, bowl and field during the innings.
A good morning was enjoyed by all the Cubs that took part, Tarporley were presented with a trophy to mark their victory.
